[Silly Little Cars] 2007 Go-4 Governor

With white and pink spliced together It works with the governor completely unplugged, also works with it still plugged in (in both the with ground and without ground configurations). Whole point of my original post is to get input from the community on the absolute best method and why….

I don't want to screw up the EMC, so let me get is straight. On your first suggestion:

"Pink and White tied together allows the governor to be disconnected entirely, and restores the engine to stock as would be in an Atoz car..."

So, this is leaving the governor box plugged in, cutting the pink and white wires, tie them together (on the wire harness/connector side) and cap the pink and white wire on the governor side.

Correct?

Red goes to light, pink is injector power, white to injector 2 and 3, yellow is Speed Pulse, Orange is ECM power, and Black is ground. Pink and White tied together allows the governor to be disconnected entirely, and restores the engine to stock as would be in an Atoz car as was explained to me.

Capping off the black wire will also disable the governor function and is what most people do, however I have heard reports that it can eventually screw up the ECM.

The governor on mine only has 5 wires (no orange ECM wire)… I have successfully disconnected just the yellow speed pulse to it and taken it for a test run and seems to work just the same as disconnecting the black ground…

Unplugging the governor entirely and splicing the Injector Power to the Injector 2&3 (pink and white) also works as stated above, and seems to produce more power (but also seems to slow down much quicker when the gas is let off).

I see 6 wires. What's the yellow one to and do you disconnect it also?

Bingo we have a winner

Outside the electrical accessory box (where the governor resides) there is a connector with a purple and a white wire (coming from the injectors) and the other side of the connector goes into the electrical accessory box and feeds the governor. I simply unplugged the connector and hot wired the purple and white wires together.

I have to do the same, so curious...

Can you describe further the wire splicing with the purple and white wire?

Hello, I have a 2007 Go-4. Looking for input on options to disconnect the governor and the best way

The governor has 5 wires to it,

Injectors 2&3 (white)

Injector Power (purple)

Ground (black)

Warning Light (red)

Speed Pulse (yellow)

I had disconnected the governor by caping and stowing the black ground wire and it seemed to work well enough and I was able to achieve desired speed, this is the only method I have found recommended on internet sources including this one.

I have also tried it by disconnecting the Speed Pulse as well with the same acceptable results as disconnecting the ground.

A friend showed me a third way a couple days ago, and that was by splicing the Injector Power to the Injector 2&3 (purple and white) wires together. This seems to work really well as well, in fact there seems to be more power on the lower end accompanied by a deep throated vroom.

Looking for advice, input, warnings on the various methods, as well as other methods.

So, you're saying you basically disconnected all wires going to and from the governor and crossed the purple and white wire together so they seem to be at a dead end?
