There is a known issue with the trunnion plates of the GO-4 Interceptor III. Occasional cracking has been evidenced in the bend area of trunnion plates. The trunnion plates are the structure that attaches the front wheel to the primary steel tube structure of the vehicle.

The bend area of the trunnion plates should be inspected by owners of this model. The recommended repair when cracks are identified is a welding repair and installation of a reinforcement kit. I was able to order the kit for $132.00 plus shipping.

Attached to this email is the information about the kit, and instructions for its installation.

    Hello,

The sillylittlecar lineup at the top of the web site page is brilliant. l

I'm new to the group, but not to little cars. I've been a member of the Microcar Mini car club for years. I don't have one. Most are trailer queens that don't see much use.

Oddly enough, I've never seen a metermaid vehicle at any meet.

Is there any wisdom about which GO-4 model might be better than the others? Someone said that the 4 cylinder Hyundai motor in the 04 was not imported into the US. The '96 used a 1.3 liter Ford. From which car? Are parts available? Are some models more problematic than others?

Where did the transaxle come from. Is it a car unit? Which one? Did it change with the engine?

Is there a tech section to the web site? Common maintenance issues that are unique to the GO-4? Removing the governor? Model explanations?

I ordered the maintenance/parts manual CD on eBay.
