[Silly Little Cars] Chinese made

No, the Firefly is made in Texas with 95% of it coming from USA made components, according to the manufacturer's website. This probably is a partial explanation for the high list price of $32-35,000. But, "It's Green" and does not pollute, at least in the eyes of the politicians, but they fail to realize where the electricity to charge the batteries actually comes from.

Don't know if the fireflys are chinese made or not but a big caveat to anyone considering chinese scooters, little cars etc. The chinese will use any motor , tranny electrical system they can find and its not uncommon to see a differant engine in a scooter thats made the next day after yours. No quality control at all and parts are usually almost impossible to find. In other words it might be cheap (inexpensive) but stay away from chinese stuff if at all possible.
