[Silly Little Cars] New to silly cars, eager to learn more

I am not sure I would consider myself silly (versus my vehicle), but I
thought I would respond to your inquiry. Sounds like an interesting
undertaking.

Don't know where you are located, but I found an independent mechanic (in
San Antonio) that I use for repairs on my GO-4 and order the parts from
Municipal Maintenance Equipment that he needs. You will probably have to
check around and find a good mechanic where you are. Not sure what you mean
by directory, but don't know of any comprehensive source that would list
every model year and all of the information about each year. Good idea
though for a large group of owners. You might want to also join the Cushman
group on YAHOO. They have a lot of information in past threads and cross
reference guides for parts.

You will find that some of the owners will have the kind of info you are
looking for . The 2000 Cushman I had got about 35 mpg and I had it up to
about 55mph over a long, long stretch of road. My wife and I used to ride
in the Cushman together, but it was a tight squeeze and not something you
would want to do for more than 30 minutes. Legal? Most cops don't know
what the thing is to start with. Since it is classified as a motorcycle,
and you can ride two legally on a motorcycle . . . .

Good luck with your endeavor.

Hi silly people,

Some friends of mine and I are thinking of getting into the silly little car
world. We're also thinking of making a little coop of these vehicles that we
share with our friends. Has anyone done anything like this before? Most of
the Cushmans we've been looking at need some work, can you recommend a place
that works on Cushman's? Also is there some sort of directory of all of the
Cushmans made? I've noticed that many people selling them know very little
about them (top speed, MPG, etc.), any buyer's hints? Also most I've seen
are one-seaters, can you squeeze two people in comfortably? Is it legal?
