I called Westward, because my agent needed the cc size of the engine and Westward confirmed that the 1997 had a Ford/Kia (not Mazda) 1.3 liter engine that was found in Ford Festivas sold in North America.
I called my insurance company (State Farm) today and got 1 year of 50,000/100,000 liability with $1,000 medical (that's all they will do for motorcycles) for $111.11 in Illinois. I also have other vehicle policies and homeowner's with them. I should mention that my agent used my purchase price as the MSRP for the 1997.
If anyone else needs information for Illinois and/or Chicago, I can point you in the right direction. For example, Chicago has a pamphlet you can find on line that mentions you can park motorcycles in any area requiring special residential parking permits without having such a permit and you don't even need to be a resident of the city. Basically means you can find free parking in many areas of the city.
