[Silly Little Cars] ticketed!

So- Just an update.
Photos, concise, friendly-looking letter, copies of my registration as a
motorcycle, and direct quotes from the CVC regarding how motorcycles are
allowed to be parked...AND, I get a letter saying I still need to pay the
ticket.   To contest it further, they require that I have the original
citation, which of course, I don't. So I guess I pay the $50.

On a side note, on one of my jobs a little while ago, I left one of the
houses I was at in Noe Valley, to see that the DPT was at that very moment
writing a ticket for the people's car that was parked in their driveway. I
asked what the ticket was for, they said "blocking the sidewalk,"
nevermind  the fact that the sidewalk was one of those giant,
residential-sized ones where the driveways are actually real driveways and
the sidewalks literally have about 4-5 feet starting after the driveway and
before the street. When I asked how in the world they were blocking the
sidewalk, with the car parked all the way in the driveway and the sidewalk
beginning behind it, they pointed out the fact that the back of the bumper
was "past their property" and was hence "blocking the sidewalk.'
So, I guess they'll ticket for anything these days.
