Okay, I think the previous owner didn't have that hooked up, I'm going to ask him. There are too knob/valves on the left side, would either of these be meant for the kill switch?<br><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Wed, Aug 22, 2012 at 10:54 AM, G. Date: Wednesday, August 22, 2012, 10:51 AM<div><div class="h5"><br><br><div>Hey Everyone,<div>So my first Cushman arrived yesterday after having it shipped from Portland. There's a lot I need to learn about it so if you have any information please pass it along. Here's a picture: <a rel="nofollow" href="http://imgur.com/oQEFZ" target="_blank">http://imgur.com/oQEFZ</a></div>
<div>It needs two windows replaced so if you have any leads for cheap glass repair for Cushmans in SF let me know! If anyone has a similar model I'd love to connect with you and talk about what improvements or repairs you've made and what problems you've had. The engine was replaced with a diesel that gets 100mpg but a top speed of 35mph. Good for the flat streets but I'm not sure how it's going to handle hills (I'm avoiding the large ones obviously but even smaller hills I wonder about). I drove it around the block near my brother's last night but found it couldn't handle a relatively small slope very well, I'm thinking I didn't have it in gear entirely. The other anomaly was shutting the engine off. I don't know if this is true for all Cushmans of this vintage but the only way we could shut off the engine was to stall it. The key ignition just started it and could turn off the lights but didn't kill the engine. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Another question I have is how you've dealt with rust, the floor in the main cabin is a bit rusted with a few holes to the road. It seems sturdy and I could temporarily just cover it with carpet but obviously I'd want to fix that. Any other advice for reducing the rattle would be helpful too!</div>
<div><br></div><div>Thanks!</div><div><br></div><div>Paul</div>
