re: Cushman remodel<br><br>Joyce, I hope you get your Cushy running soon..As far as Solar, you may be out of luck with such a small surface area upon which to mount Photovoltaic panels..Refrigeration takes a lot of 'juice' to run the compressor..Would you consider a (gasp) gas-powered generator to run it? Honda makes some very efficient/quiet gen.s like the EU 2000 that could run a small freezer unit. Otherwise, plug it in at night & get a well-insulated chest. Most Ice Cream Trucks dont actually have a freezer on-board...just good insulation.<br>
BTW theres a GO-4 Ice Cream Truck on evilBay somewhere back East IIRC. Hi Silly Car peeps,<br>
I recently purchased a Cushman 1991 model, and it was running fine when I bought<br>
it 3 weeks ago, but it won't start now. I am looking to remodel it into a<br>
popsicle cart and have some fantastic ideas about supping it up. I am wondering<br>
if you have leads for me in regards to:<br>
<br>
- a great car technician that can help me get it up and running again!<br>
- a creative type skilled in body work for alternative vehicles<br>
- someone that knows how to apply and work off of solar to power a mobile<br>
freezer unit<br>

As far as solar, I was poking around craigslist for a panel recently and saw a lot of deals, especially if you don't need a frame around your panel. There was a guy in Santa Cruz with like 100 of them, I think I wasn't supposed to ask too many questions.<br>

Arcane Tour d'Elegance, Thursday 8/18<br>

For those who are interested, or will be in the Monterey area for the Pebble<br>
Beach Week, (also known worldwide as the Concours d'Lemons Weekend), there<br>
will be an Arcane run on Thursday August 18, organized by members Ray and<br>
Carla Nierlich. The run will start in Salinas at the Cherry Bean Gourmet<br>
Coffee Shop 332 S Main Street, gathering at 8:30 or so for a real time (not<br>
Arcane time) departure of 9:30, for a back roads tour ending in Carmel. We<br>
may even have off street parking arranged about 4 blocks from Ocean Ave.<br>
<br>
The idea is to have the end of our tour come into town along the same route<br>
as the Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance, so that we too can wave to all the<br>
folks lining the roadway in order to greet us, (or to greet someone else).<br>
<br>
For those who do not know, the Pebble Beach Concours contestants can<br>
participate in a street tour which ends on Ocean Avenue in Carmel. The cars<br>
are then on display for the public, without paying the price of admission to<br>
Pebble Beach on Sunday. It is a great time to view and drool over<br>
multimillion dollar pieces of rolling automobilia free of charge. My<br>
suggestion is to leave the big metal belt buckles at home, since there are<br>
no velvet ropes surrounding the cars.<br>
<br>
Ray is arranging for box lunches, with a price range of between $10 and $15<br>
per person, since the restaurants are jammed, and seem to misplace<br>
reservations. Please contact Ray directly to pre-order.<br>
