Commercial licenses / loading zones vary by city and location. While you
may have a commercial plate for the state, some cities will require you to
have carry specialized windshield permits as well, which is essentially a
year's worth of parking for several hundred dollars. You're still limited
to the time specified on the loading zone sign, which is usually 30 minutes.

There is another complication to getting a commercial permit. You may have
to file and pay fuel surcharge fees / usage fees to the state to operate as
a commercial vehicle. Again, this could run you several hundred dollars a
year. Or it could be free depending on your state.

For Washington state, it could easily cost you $1K a year just for all the
fees and taxes to go commercial, and that is far more expensive than
parking as a motorcycle costs. Not worth it for me.
