You may be right as there seems to be no consistency among or within the
insurers on this "high risk / unknown quantity".  I did call the 800 number
for Progressive.  Just wonder if they keep notes on your record of inquiries
made.  State Farm was supposed to get back to me with a final decision and a
price tag of around $950 a year for full coverage!

i started out with state farm for 6 months until I spoke with progressive
directly and got a full year with highh coverage. I had progressive for my
motorcycles but when I asked my agent for trike, he said no a few (2-3)
years ago on a cushman. He did not even call me back 1.5 years ago tho I
have been with him  in excess of 15 years.

 

I spokewith AAA, USAA all with left hand not knowing right hand stuff. 

 

Bottom line go to progressive at their 1800 number and speak direct. If no
good ask for someone else.  It is less than half the state farm price. SF
