[Silly Little Cars] Tale of Woe from NC

Ok, here’s my tell of woe.
Dude, shows up at my shop and wants to know if one of my Go-4’s is for sale.
Seen running ‘round town in them.
I think a moment and say “Yea, I’ll part with the 2004.”
Now, note that I have owned and been driving this thing for over 2 years. 
Up till about 6 months ago, while I did some R&R on my 96, it had been pretty much a parts runner.
So when the 96 was finished I parked the 04, pulled the tags and dropped the insurance. No big deal.
Now the the rest of the story.
Dude says “Can I take for a test drive?”
Sure, go ahead, keys in it. (his rides sitting on the drive so he’ll be back).
Well, he was gone for about 30 mins, but then he shows back up, ON FOOT ! 
What the &%”# !! Where’s my scoot?
Turns out, it’s at the end of my driveway.  Smoking and erupting whatever fluids it has left.
Seems it started making a “funny” noise, but he kept going till the “odd” smell started.
He then stops, and looks under it, at what he thinks was oil or antifreeze running from under it. At this point he’s, and I quote: “I never did go over 40.”
Now this “car guy” (his words, not mine) decides to drive it back to my shop, but it died on him at the driveway. 
Suddenly as I start down the drive he hands me the keys, gets in his car and hauls butt.
I stand there for  second not really understanding what just happened. And to make matters worse, I’ve got no clue who the heck he was.
So, I  go down the driveway and lo’ and behold it’s sitting there with the tranny still in “L”!  Guess he didn’t get it over 40, huh.
Pop the hood. No screw top on the water res and antifreeze steaming everywhere. Do you think it got warm?
But that’s OK cause it’s mixin just fine with the smell/smoke of HOT motor oil. Well, it did leak have some oil left, just not in the engine.
Pulled (dragged) it to the pad out side the shop doors and there she sits.
I’ll work up the courage to take a good look tomorrow.
Probably not the dudes fault. Like your buds stuff/mower that doesn’t break till you borrow it, ya know.
Maybe I’ll fix it or part it out.
Thought you folk might like a good giggle too. After all, it’s just a toy right?
