[Silly Little Cars] Roof Rack

I want to put a roof rack on my Interceptor to carry a kayak or paddleboard. Has anyone done that or anyone have any thoughts?
I am thinking posts could be welded/bolted to the sides and the roof. If anyone has pics that would be great.
