Personally I prefer the the 1993-2000 Interceptors (mine is a 1997). The have the Mazda 1.3L engine and 3-speed automatic compared to the 2001+ with a 1.0L Hyundai engine and 4-speed auto. Reason I prefer the Mazda is the fact parts are much easier to access (same drivetrain as the Ford Festiva/Aspire, Mazda 121). The Hyundai parts are in any imported cars to the US, so they're not readily available at any pick-n-pull yards.

I put a nice Corbeau Sport seat in my interceptor, as my ultimate plan is to put an turbocharged Mazda 1.6L or 1.8L motor in my Interceptor. Ha! I'm in the process of replacing the rear shocks now and will be mounting 14" wheels on my rear with 185/60/14 rubber on them .

Subject: [Silly Little Cars] Purchasing GO-4

Considering a GO-4 to replace my Cushman Police 3-wheeler. I like the easy access to engine on the Cush, but my Wife likes the automatic trans of the Go-fer. It seems the engine compartment access would negate anything permanently mounted on the back
of the Go-fer. Am I wrong?
Are there 'good' year/models of the Go-fers(or bad)?
