Golf cart repairs that may be able to fix my cushmans.
Cool/creative Idea, I did not think about.
I will get to it, tomorrow.
In general (not specific) I am sure that there are tons of certain breeds of  mechanics
in NYC who can/would love to fix cushmans. Being that the rents in NYC are insane,
and people work just to pay the rent, mechanics do not come cheap (to say the least/some are crooks too).
Hence I was trying this long long shot, posting  this question.
At least it was worth posting, as you gave me fab idea :)

As for your search for a cushman "Van" style for deliveries, I have seen 2 cushman's business modifications 
on the streets of NYC. (Really smart modifications, I would love to do myself ).
One was done old west style "van" for pizza place.
The other was for Cell phone sales. The one for cell phone, was ultra cool.
had folding display, with roof, side signs, platform etc... All fold down, for driving mod/no wind resistance.  

I did stop to ask the drivers/owners questions such as: who did it,  references, mechanic/welder who can do the similar 
jobs on three wheels cushmans. Results?
no one was willing to cooperate ! 
let alone not even allow to take pictures etc. 

In conclusion: As said before, I just need to strike the "gold vein of cushman'insm  net working mechanics
and all will come to place by itself. 
Repair Parts are not hard to come by, but the prices are ultra expensive.

Suzuki engine 2001, already been computerized, hence the problem to find mechanic.
it is very easy to find mechanics, to fix cushmans, who are not computerized/no problem.
Once it get computer complicated, many mechanics, who can fix any engine on earth
find themselves, "lost" with computers.

I did not know it at the time I got my  1997 Cushman meter maid with the Suzuki engine, but my car mechanic has a Cushman Truckster for his  home yard work!  He was thrilled to work on mine for me.  I guess I was just luckier than lucky with that.  He also has connections for parts as he repairs the equipment at his favorite golf course, yes, he plays golf, too.  So, maybe find out who does the work on the vehicles at the closest golf course.  The closest course to Brooklyn is Dyker Beach Golf Course at 7th ave & 86th st, according to google.  It might work.  Don't give up, three wheel meter maids are a blast to drive and great in town.  I own a florist shop and am re-doing mine for a delivery vehicle, as I couldn't find a cute little van style Cushman.  I live in Maine and went to Scranton, PA to get mine, it was retired from NYCPD.  It is just too much fun to run around in and everyone asks "what is it?"  It always draws a crowd and lots of questions.

I started by checking out some good independent motorcycle and auto mechanics.  Found one that can repair anything and likes a challenge.  You may be able to do the same but it takes some leg work.
Also, have you tried the YAHOO Cushman group with this same question?

Hi All

I love all the pictures of silly cars, posted.

I too have Cushmans meter maid vehicles, three wheels,2001 suzuki Engine.

Non working (but start really good).

 

Although most if not all members are located outside NYC,

Risking The "Dumb" log shot question, I wonder if anyone knows/can recommend

point out, as to how to find a mechanic , a mechanic in Brooklyn NY,

that will be able to fix Three wheels, Cushman 2001 ?
