[Silly Little Cars] Parts at MME. Whoo Hoo

Thanks! I bought it off of eBay from a re-seller in Mississippi who bought
from an airport in Nashville where it was used for traffic control. The
units from NY that I have seen have that same pattern as well. I remember
seeing that picture of yours and was amazed at your stackable creativeness.

Sounds like you have got the stereo thing figured out. Since I have a Dual
HD radio with a bluetooth microphone built in for telephone calls (it cuts
out whatever you have going, CD, MP3, etc and broadcasts your phone call
over the radio speakers), I have to have the unit where it is in voice range
in the cab. That makes the installation a little more problematic. Don't
have any room under the bucket seat for speakers. Probably have to install
them on the overhead cross-bar (above the rear window), on the dash, or
maybe in the triangular space on either side of the dash that the mirrors
are screwed into.

Nice ride! Do you know where it came from? I've only seen that paint job in
San Francisco, but I'm guessing its some sort of stock pattern. Here's my
girlfriend's, for example:

http://sillylittlecars.com/?p=126

And attachments work fine on the list by the way.

For my stereo, I put an amp (not a head unit) behind the panel on the
"passenger" side that's just in front of the rear wheel. But alas I think
that area might be full of AC components for you. But you could always put
it in the trunk? Then I routed the audio cable with the 1/8" headphone jack
and a power switch up to the dash. I put two 6" speakers under the seat,
facing my feet, and in the center I put a 10" subwoofer. Sounds ridiculously
good.

I received an email from MME, Robert Cross, about the same time you sent
your email Mike. I was able to order two seal kit, so problem solved (until
the next one comes up). Thanks to everyone who responded to my original
inquiry.

I don't know if this will distribute, but I attached a picture of my little
buggy. Just got new rims and wider tires on back, and had the windows
tinted (gotta have it for the murderous south Texas sun and to help the
little GO-4 ac unit along!). Also had the exhaust from a Honda RC 51 put on
to replace the rusted stock exhaust can . . . has a nice throaty hum now.
Next project is the radio. There is just no place to put one. It's blue
tooth enabled with a built in microphone so it has to either go on the dash
or the small space on the right hand side next to the seat. The roof just
seems too flimsy for a mount there.

your best bet is to take them to a good custom bike shop and hope they
can buy the seals after measuring them, they were custom built for
westward by Showa (spelling bad)

Thanks for that little tidbit. I figured it was not going to be easy to get
these parts since the front fork is more motorcycle rather than Hyundai /
Kia. Emailed Showa just for the hell of it. Don't really expect an answer
though.
