I do want to pitch in regarding Jerry the mechanic. I've been a mechanic for over 20 years, and working on my new cushman has not been easy. On several occasions Jerry has taken the time to talk to me in person, or over the phone to help assist me in my growing mechanical knowledge of my truckster. Jerry even cautioned me on bringing the car to him unless i felt it a worthwhile investment.
Jerry knows what he's doing, helps out for next to nothing, and is a credible resource for cushmans and ez-go's when no one else will touch them.
Was this the same flamed out car that was there over 2 months ago when I first met Jerry? I would think storage would apply. I've never been able to leave my car at my maintenance places more than a day!
see you all around town people! Enjoy your silly little car!

Hear, hear!
And if anything Jerry undercharges for the level of attention and skill he brings to the job.

You brought him a burned up Cushman (literally: the thing caught fire, the engine is charred, all wires and hoses are melted), and he was nice enough to say he'd take a look at it. He told you it would be expensive, you balked, so he very understandably didn't want to work on it. Now he's been storing it for you for at least 3 months without you even offering to give him some money. Ever. You've never given him a cent, you just call and abuse him on the phone.

He lived in an artist space in San Francisco run by the nicest person you could imagine (Skot Kyper) and by the end of it John wasn't paying rent, was threatening to have him busted for code violations (code violations!!!), and eventually took out a restraining order against him. The entire space was almost disbanded.
