Been there-done that...It all depends on which DMV *manager* you get to
deal with..It's beyond the scope of all the counter people I have come in
contact with at 2 local offices. Make sure the Data plate is attached that
identifies it as a Motorcycle(and the Emissions Label as well). Make sure
the engine number is easily readable by the DMV clerk that will 'verify'
it.  If not easily seen, you will have to make an appointment with CHP to
verify the engine number(Sorry, my foray was with a Cushman and I'm not
familiar with the GO-4 number location) Dont believe them when they tell
you it will have to be smog-checked(obviously motorcycles are smog-exempt)
Above all, be pleasant and keep smiling at the DMV counter, but be
persistent.
