First, let me thank those who took the time to answer my questions in an
informative manner. I apologize if I seemed a little brusque. Certainly nobody
*owes* me explanations, but in this case "a good FAQ is hard to find." As it
happens, I was going to suggest a FAQ and a fine place to put it would be on
Facebook, a task for which I'd be happy to volunteer. It can be done for free
and gives instant acces to hundreds of millions of people. The only
problem...I'm completely ignorant of this subject, so any answers would have to
be vetted by others.
I'm not interested in "horning" or in this case beeping-in on anyone's action,
so I'd be glad to link the listowner's website or this Listserv on such a FB
page. I just think it would be a good thing to have and a fun learning
experience, and would save you guys from repetitive questions.
Just a suggestion/offer.

But yeah, sounds great. I once tried a forum but the damn spammers totally
demolished it. This thread is probably a pretty good intro FAQ.
