The Disney cars were different, but no less cool. They were more "rounded" looking. The King Midgets were built for the street. I think most of them were sold in kit form. You can see the old ads in Popular Mechanics type magazines from the late 1940's to the late 1960's. They were not much more than a big go-kart. Most had no reverse and engines were Briggs & Stratton type (Kohler, etc) driving a live axle to one rear wheel. They were underpowered with engines as small as 2 hp, but I believe most had a 6 to 8 hp engine. I have seen some refitted with new Honda industrial engines. They are a super cool car. If you like this sort of thing, also do a search on Mini Moke...about the same but more refined and more power.

Off topic...is it ok to attach pictures to this mailing list? I got a new Cushman and want to show it off.

  HI All
I think the King Midgets were early arcade cars. Disney Lanod had something similar in the early sixty's. Most likely a 50cc engine - not vary fast at all!!

Oh man. Oh man oh man.

I just emailed the guy asking if it is, and if it ever has been registered
    for the street in CA.

In other news Razz picked up a crazy nice 1989 water cooled Cushman
dumptruck today at an auction for $350. Has 12,000 miles on it, run great,
and the oversize dump bed raises and lowers hilariously quickly by
    hydraulics.

King Midgets are street legal. Neat little car. Ok around town, stay away
from hills, traffic and friends who think it's funny to carry your car off
    and hide it.
