[Silly Little Cars] Remove the governor from an Interceptor

There's an auction this weekend up in Petaluma:

I'm thinking about getting an Interceptor if I can get one reasonably  
priced, but I was wondering how hard it is to remove the governor.

Can I just yank it off of there? Anybody have any experience with  
this? Will I be messing up the fuel injection?
